Bloom doesn't last forever.

INSIDE COZELL'S MIND:

"Peak Bloom" was created after I was invited to exhibit in “BLOOM” a group show by Usan Usan, sponsored by Amazon during the National Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington, D.C. The concept was simple: create a 12 × 12 piece inspired by cherry blossoms.

So, to get some inspiration I went to see the blossoms in person, and as I was viewing them, I saw a river in the same view. Naturally, my mind wanted to combine the two bringing both elements into one scene that captures not just how it looks, but how it feels.

The diver represents a decision: to step in, to experience it fully, before the moment passes.

Use UV light to reveal a hidden layer within the piece.
